Jonathan Amaya is a self motivating, multidisciplinary graphic designer and illustrator. Besides design, some of his other passions are animation, theater and has an admiration for Muppets and cinema. He currently works and lives in San Diego, California.

From the years 2019-2026 I worked with a company named Platinum Cannabis - who was eventually acquired by Red White and Bloom Cannabis. A multi state operation based out of Canada. I started out as an intern creating social media assets and eventually moved up to lead designer where I worked alongside my creative director to oversee various packaging and digital designs for California, Michigan, Arizona, Missouri, Florida and Canada.

I’m Jonathan Amaya

Born and raised in Southern California, I was always surrounded by music and art which influenced my passions and hobbies. My love for animation is what sparked my interest in the creative field which led to me discovering the massive umbrella of career opportunities under the label of Graphic Design.

From packaging design, to Photoshop wizardry, to creating full color illustrations and some 3D modeling, my love and passion for design has driven not just my career but my own personal growth as a person.

When I’m not working on design you can find me either playing my guitar (poorly) sharpening my life drawing and illustration skills, re-watching the director cut of “Little Shop of Horrors” or with my face in a comic book or manga.
